Mr. Horton and his team have lived and worked in Southside Virginia for over 28 years and understand the unique circumstances their neighbors face in the areas of real estate law, criminal defense, wills and estates, business entity formation, and general business law.
Meet Our Team
Harlan Horton
Attorney at Law
Harlan is a long-time, local resident of Farmville. He graduated from Hampden-Sydney College in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. He received his Juris Doctorate from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1991 and remained in Winston-Salem after graduation to practice. He returned to Farmville in 1995 where he worked for Attorney Jill Dickerson for three years before opening his own practice in 1998.
Harlan is a patron of local arts. He is co-founder and president of Farmville’s Summer Garden Opera and serves as a board member for the Longwood Center for the Visual Arts. He is also a member of the Longwood Garden Club and John’s Memorial Episcopal Church.
What makes Harlan’s firm unique is the “personal touch.” All clients have direct access to him and his team at all times during representation.
